Advanced mineralogy is a technique used for identifying and analysing minerals from oil and gas extraction sites. It is a technique that is applied during the initial stages of exploration to map out the unexplored area. Advanced mineralogy can also be used for biostratigraphic correlation, site assessment and more specialized studies such as drill-hole logging, petrophysical analysis or geochemical modelling.
